Connie and Anne's Infinite Tea Party is a collaborative social project by myself and Anne Rogers, first manifested at Chautauqua School of Art on Monday, August 5, 2019.

The first instance of the Infinite Tea Party provided a space and time for objects we made from ceramic and fabric, plus found objects and food, to come to life.

It also was a way to come to terms with an experience (in this case, a 7-week residency program) that has a beginning and end, by conceptualizing our time together as just one of many manifestations of togetherness. And now, the objects that were used are charged with the energy and memory of the gathering and the people who were directly or indirectly a part of it.

The objects we made and used will travel with us and continue to be used in our new contexts. They will hold the memory of the initial tea party at Chautauqua where we first used them, but also accumulate new experiences with us and our new communities. We plan to reconvene and make more instances of the Tea Party happen again in new spaces and contexts.
